The new Snapdragon 720G from Qualcomm is the heart of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. With a top clock rate of 2.3 GHz, the Octa Core CPU could claim top ratings in the Antutu benchmark and can call itself one of the fastest smartphones in the midrange. Xiaomi combined the strong center of the smartphone with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM. In combination with the Adreno 618 GPU, even demanding gamers will get their money’s worth. The Redmi Note S will also provide sufficient performance for mobile games for years to come.

Photographers go into ecstasy

Actually, it is reserved for devices of the upper class to be at the very top of DXOMark’s top field. Xiaomi reshuffles the cards and has given the Redmi Note 9 Pro an absolutely superior camera setup. Already on the front side there is a lot on offer. As with the front camera, the images taken with the quad camera are enhanced by the artificial intelligence. On the one hand, the EIS ensures that restless hand movements no longer lead to blurred results. Especially: The EIS is offered for the main camera as well as for the wide angle sensor. The Ultra Nightscape Mode ensures even better results in unfavourable lighting conditions. A lot is also offered regarding video recording. Recordings in 4k with 30 FPS are no problem for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Slow motion videos can be recorded at a resolution of 720p with up to 960 frames per second.

Large display, small dimensions

Xiaomi also shows itself from an absolutely high-quality side on the screen. It measures a proud 6.67 inches. The built-in IPS panel offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and the high screen to body ratio achieved by the Punch Hole front camera is a real specialty in this price class. As with the Samsung devices, this is positioned in the middle. Due to the absence of a disturbing notch, the smartphone measures only 165.75 x 76.68 x 8.8 mm despite its large display and weighs only 209 grams. A perfect hand flatterer.
